Is it just me or does she look like she's about to do something horrible to you? She looks ready to pounce, as though she's looking at whats conveniently arrived just as she thought about getting something to eat.

My idea of feral druids is that they're always ready to attack. The beastly side of their nature is strong, and they can change their moods like lightning. They have a darker side than most night elves do. Violence is in their blood, they taste it every time they fight. Her posture reflects this readiness, she's about to move, and when she does, it's not going to be to pick a flower.

My contest entry for *SweetYuya's contest. The idea was to depict one of her characters, and I chose Tessah Stormrage, a feral druid. I did this for many reasons: a) There aren't enough Night Elves in my gallery b) I miss Zsharael, and Tessah is not only a feral druid like Zshar, she looks a bit like her as well and lastly c) THERE ARENT ENOUGH NIGHT ELVES IN MY GALLERY!!! :giggle:

*sigh* I soooo need to work on my backgrounds. Oh well, this one didn't turn out too badly. I tried to depict some druid spell casting, but my memory is a bit foggy. Not being able to open WoW to get some reference sucked.

Oh lord I miss playing Zsharael. WoW is so much fun, and I really, really miss it. I suppose the flip side is that I probably wouldnt have improved my art so much recently, or even made this picture. But damn, I miss my lovely level 78 feral night elf druid. She KICKS ASS!!!!!

HOLY CRAP.
I just about repainted the entire image since I wasn't happy with the rushed version I posted earlier. I don't think I'll win anything, but at least I'm really happy and proud of it now. Goo god, I think I'll post the old version in my scraps, so that there can be some comparison. I took it back to greyscale, repainted a lot, added SOOOOO much more detail, recolored it. Redid the background. Dammit, I need to get to sleep...gotta work tomorrow....nnhhhhggg

the only thing I can see that is a little off is on the left arm the muscle is defined a little to much where they meet at the elbow I could maybe see some stronger highlights on the legs to make them more sexy and stand out. and the string around right leg might need some shadow to give them more depth thats about all I can see right now.

First thing's first: I've been holding this in but you forced me to say it - you're a WoW geek. BIG TIME!

I think there isn't treatment for that so...yeh....I hope you lived a meaningful life.

Now to the picture: She's seductive as hell. Apart from her being all purple with glowing eyes and elf-ears, I definitely wood. Hehe...I made a funny 'wood'.

He pose looks more seductive than aggressive and threatening. More of a black widow mode of attack rather than a jumping spider.

She draws you close with the seduction of a vampire and then kills you gentle and kills you slow - nothing vicious.

I really like this one. I'm taking it and there is nothing you can do about it. :nana:

haha She does look as though she's plotting something devious, or has a mind to.

Actually, I think the BG looks great. I like your choice, because that instantly makes me think of the Night Elves. I'm glad Tessah appealed to you as well!

Sometimes I miss my old priestess and huntress, but I've done good about staying away so far. 1 year, 5 months and going strong! :XD: HAHA It's sooooo bad, it sounds like a drug addiction.

Actually, I think the BG turned out pretty nice; the moon looks great. I think that the "softer" textures in this, her hair and the fur padding under her shoulder pauldrons, turned out especially nice. Her face looks great as well; it's very expressive...and naughty! I feel like she either going to do something very sexy, or very violent. Maybe both. ^_~ Anyway, the lips are a particularly well-done feature.

There are only two things I would touch up. Her feet don't quite match the style of the rest of her body; they look slightly more like a photo than a painting. The other thing is that her right arm blends a tiny bit into the armor on her hip and right breast, and could be brought out a little more to make them distinct.

Overall, this looks great! It almost makes me wish I played WoW - except that then I'd never get anything done. Curse you addictive personality!

I really love this! I can't offer any critique cause I'm extremely new to digital painting...and I'm also a Guild Wars type of guy and can't offer much on the WoW universe at all. The design of the outfit is quite sweet and I like the details you included here! An interesting perspective relative to the background, as well; it's not a straight up flat view of the structure and adds dimension. All in all, very nice work! I hope to be this good in time!

1 year and 5 months! Holy crap, you are truly strong of spirit and will. I've having major urges, I need to play! My beautiful druid is calling to me, and I want to kick Arthas' butt :tears: I'm away from home in another country and I'm homesick for Ashenvale. There is truly no hope for me, I'm lost.

Tessah was fun to paint, but looking back on it, I should have just googled the druid armor sets and gone with one of them. That silver filigree was interesting to paint, and made me want to cry at times.... It may LOOK really good on a female night elf, but damn is it annoying to paint! :O_o:

The background turned out better than I expected. I so really wished that I could just open up the game, and wander around Ashenvale or Teldrassil to get a good background and refresh my memory of the Night Elf lands. I wanted to convey the feeling of those places, and of the game, so the specific architecture of the arches worked well. :bounce:
